Two-tone composite decking — dark border boards framing lighter boards — run up to the edge of the alfresco so the house and the yard sit on one level. Along the fence line, a sandstone-capped block wall holds a raised garden bed above the deck instead of letting it run out into lawn.

We’re a father-and-son team. Ali started Unique Gardens & Landscapes in 2014 and still runs the tools; his son Mezz works alongside him. Between us we price the work, build it and hand it back.
